The company started as a partnership between Jennifer Lawton and Christopher Caldwell with help from Rudolph Ventresca. It was founded to take care of spin-offs from the bankrupt company Stardent in 1991 under the name NDI and incorporated in 1992 as Net Daemons Associates (aka NDA). The company grew to 60 people with offices in Massachusetts, California, Colorado, and Utah and $6 million in revenue by 1999. It became one of Deloitte and Touche's fast 50 and Inc.
